Method
Fuse and test approx. 18,000m of pipeline in Belleville Yard. Tow lines in individual lengths of approx. 1,600m to the site just off Toronto Island.
Dredged trench to approx. 700m off the shore, and installed near shore pipeline.
Floated each 5,000m deep lake line to alignment. Anchored and sank pipe into place using a controlled method. Connected both pipes together.
Constructed valve chambers & pipeline connections to existing pumping station by open cut methods.
